I am 7 weeks and 2 days. This was my first prenatal visit . I know it is a little early to be going, but with my diabetes, it best to get in early and get settled. Nothing much was done, except take my blood pressure and weight. Oh... Had my first Ultrasound, just to make sure that there was indeed a little one in there. We saw Lillian Lif for the first time. My little alien. |

I am now 9 weeks pregnant. It is so frustrating because they can not yet put the right due date, so I have to keep changing all the dates. A small price to pay for this little miracle. Other than that, everything is going great. |

Well I am now 11 weeks pregnant and my mind is going crazy. Most of the time now, I have been scared. Scared about how the baby is doing, if he/she is still alive. I do not want to think like this, but i can not help it. At this stage of pregnancy, you can not feel any movement or your belly is not big enough to know what is going on in your belly. I had and ultrasound on the 18th of November and saw the baby for the first time and saw the heart beating. This made me feel more at ease. and I will be even better after a few day when we go for our second ultrasound. I hope it will stop my worrying. |

Now I am 11weeks and 6 days and went for my ultrasound yesterday. Still feeling scared we went to the hospital. But as soon as we saw the heart beating, I started to tear up again. I can not wait till I can feel the baby move, then I will not have to worry so much. Today we went to my 2nd prenatal visit. We had an appointment at 10:30, but an hour of waiting we finally went in. Everything was ok and my blood sugar was perfect. As it always is when I'm pregnant.The great news is that when I am around 14 weeks I will hopefully get an insulin pump. This is great, because it works almost the same way as the pancreas does, releasing small amounts of insulin at a time. It I get it, it will make life with diabetes a whole lot better and easier to cope with. Wish me luck. |

I am now 36 weeks and 5 days pregnant. At this check-up, everything went well except for heavy swelling in my feet. edema itīs called. The only remedy is drinking plenty of water, keep your feet up and donīt sit or stand for too long. I look like I have elephantitis. They look like two stubs at the end of my legs:) |

I am now 37 weeks and 5 days. Went to sonar and the results were good. Lillian Lif is growing now at a steady rate. Her weight is 3,292g, just above average. Which means we have to wait another week to decide what is the best action to take. Should I go full term or do we induce? That means at my next prenatal, I will be 39 weeks. Wow that is so close. Closer even till I see my little angel. |

Went for monitoring today. Lillian seemed to be hiding from the monitors. Her heart beat kept falling in and out. But other than that, everything is going great. Going for prenatal check up on the 18th. Hopefully they can tell me what the next step is. If we have to keep waiting or do we try induction. My only concern is that if we induce and nothing happens, then they will take her out by C-section. If that is the case, then we will still be in hospital when my parents and grand-parents are here. The best possible out come right now, is if Lillian Lif comes on her own now, or soon, then we can be home and well rested by the time the family come. Is that too much to ask you think:). Either way I can not wait to see my little princess. |

We thought today was going to be the day. The day Lillian Lif would be induced. Boy were we wrong. At 39 weeks pregnant I was ready to hear that " We will start today to induce and if that does not work, then C-section". That is not what happened. The day started with monitoring Lillian heart rate and my contractions (which there were none to speak). Everything was perfect they say. Then we went to the prenatal visit. There they say that my sugar is perfect, Lillian is average weight, so there is no danger of her been over weight. So the only thing left was to decide on a date. Which happens to be the 23rd of June. Two days before my due date. Well we see. Lillian Lif just might decide to come on Sunday. Here's hoping:) |
